Fast Business Growth With A Simple One-Page Goal Plan

Today I want to share a simple one-page goal plan that I have used over the years to grow my businesses with 100%, 500% and even more than 1000%. It helped me out-sell and out-grow my competitors over a relative short time. It's something so powerful but so simple that it actually works.

We all know we have to set targets, create a vision for your business and have a clear picture of what you want. But for most business owners, although we know it is very important to do these things, we don’t have the time to daydream. We have a business to run, customers to help, deadlines to achieve and fires to put out. We are very busy people.

Over the last 30 years I owned 40 of my own businesses, many of them doing multi millions in annual revenue and most of them started from scratch. I have used this simple one-page goal plan to outgrow my biggest competitors that have been in business for 15, 20 and 25 years longer than I have. Some of them came to me to see what I was doing, because they couldn't believe it. " They never thought that it was possible to become that big in that industry". That’s why I know this ONE thing, a"one-page goal plan" can have a huge impact in your business growth profit and income.

So, if you want to grow your business fast, let me share with you the One-Page Business Goal Plan that will really excel your business growth. But I must warn you that it’s very simple, so simple that you may not even do it. It has worked for me and everyone else that have used it. I mean really everyone, even my 16-year-old daughter when she started her little business. So do it, you won't regret it.

Success

We all know setting goals for the future of your business is crucial. Trying to build a company without direction is like trying to make a road trip without GPS or a map.

Creating a business goal plan is the absolute worst. Yes, I said THE worst. Don’t get me wrong, I love setting goals, but goals grounded on reality, not based in aspiration. We end up doing a lot of thinking, planning, modeling, and then just outright guessing. Really, with how much guessing is involved, it seems ridiculous that anyone would ever spend so much time on such an unrealistic forecast.

We have heard to set SMART goals, to visualize your goals, to believe in them and to use affirmations to help you achieve them. It does help, but If your business goal plan is not taking your current actual numbers in consideration and breaking it down to an annual, monthly and daily number, it is only an overly optimistic dream based on hope.

That's why this one page business goal plan works. It's fast and simple, uses your current actual numbers to predict the future. Turning your business goal into a visual one that brings focus, clarity and understanding of the actions and results necessary for success. It creates massive belief in the future and potential of your business as you progress every year.

If you have never seen Tony Robbins Success Cycle, then you absolutely have to watch this short one minute YouTube video.

“Our goals can only be reached through the vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success.”

How To Create Your Simple One-Page Business Goal Plan

Step 1:

Take your total current sales or revenue figure for the last 12 months and add at least 50% to that for the first years' growth target. Then take that new target amount and add another 50% for the second years' target. Keep doing that until year 5. Here is an example of what I mean. Below you will find a more sophisticated one, but I have always used this one for my dairy and office.

Now you may be thinking “is this guy crazy ” at least 50% growth"? Believe me it works! Then there is also some of you that may be thinking "only 50%". You see the size of the question determines the size of the answer. If you start asking yourself how can I grow 50% or even a 100%. That is the answer you will get. If you ask yourself how can I survive or make enough to make a living and be able to pay the bills…that is the answer you’ll get.

Expect resistance from yourself in the beginning but remember you are only dreaming now, so get rid of the Negative, the Fear and the How. This is not important now. What’s important now is to set goals without any limitations.

The question is not whether this formula for success will work, but rather whether you will work the formula. That is the unknown variable. That is the challenge that confronts us all. We can all go from wherever we are to wherever we want to be. No dream is impossible provided we first have the courage to believe in it.

Only a few years ago I found out that there were about 24 Laws of Success build in to this simple one-page goal plan. All by accident. That’s why it works.

"The secret of achievement is to hold a picture of a successful outcome in mind".

- Henry David Thoreau -

I know that when looking at your 5 year-end goal, it looks unbelievable. This is natural from where you are currently standing and you can’t see how you are ever going to reach that number. The first step to getting what you want is – Decide what you want.

Most people get stuck at this crucial first step because they simply can’t see how it’s possible to get what they want. Don’t sabotage yourself that way. You must first decide what you want, before the brain can figure out "How to get it."

“Life is short, and if we enjoy every moment of every day, then we will be happy no matter what happens or what changes along the way.”

- Jim Rohn  -

But when you reach your first year’s goal you will see it wasn’t so difficult. This will create believe in next year’s goal and when you reach your second years goal you will have the absolute confidence that the next years' goal is in the bag. The whole process creates massive belief and momentum. Without this belief you simply won’t take action on your goals. When you can see it is possible it becomes possible. Just keep on focusing on the next target. That’s it.

Step 2:

After you have completed your 5 year plan, I want you to put it up some ware where you can see it as often as possible. Just focus on your next year’s goal. And keep asking yourself how am I going to accomplish it? This will put you in a “Growth thinking mode” and you will be amazed at what you will accomplish. I have done this several times with great results. Every time roundabout year 3, I normally have to do my 5 year plan over because I have exceeded my goals.

One Page Goal Plan

Conclusion

Turning your business goal into a visual one will bring focus, clarity and understanding of the actions and results necessary for success.

As humans, we don't tend to think things are possible until we can see that it is possible. Most people are trapped in the possible and until we see how to do something and see the results, we don't believe it's possible. So we don't have faith, faith that we can achieve our goals.

Seeing is believing…until you see something is possible, you don't believe it is. And believing is seeing…When you believe it is really possible you will see the actual results.

Now it is your time. Just do it! What do you have to lose? Good Luck
